Loveland, Ohio – City Council read and passed the second reading, of an ordinance establishing Chapter 1310 of the Codified Ordinances creating an eminent domain; blight removal, declaration of public nuisance and abatement policy and procedure at their June 8 meeting.

Ordinance 2021-60 was adopted by a vote of 6-0. Mayor Kathy Bailey, Vice Mayor Robert Weisgerber (via Zoom), Andrew Bateman, Tim Butler, Neal Oury, and Ted Phelps voted to adopt the ordinance. Council Member Kent Blair was not in attendance.

  1. I grew up in Loveland and am not surprised of the latest attempt to make more money, greedy and needy. You took what could have been a beautiful downtown and ruined it with condos, a contractor bought his way in. SHAME ON YOUR GREED NOW YOU WANT TO TAKE MORE. MY FAMILY STILL LIVES THERE AND SRE CONSTANTLY BITCHING OF TRAFFIC AND PARKING.
