Loveland, Ohio – “And that’s a wrap! Our attention to detail and careful preparation helped bring the historic Loveland B&O Railroad Depot back to life,” says Scott Fair Painting Service.
Scott and Brandon Fair the father and son duo of Scott Fair Painting Service have completed exterior restoration work on Loveland’s iconic Loveland B&O Railroad Depot. The 117-year-old depot is owned by Martin Schickel and is located right on the Loveland Bike Trail in Historic Downtown Loveland.
Loveland, Ohio – Chanaka De Laneroll brought his passion for fine food and exceptionally good service to Historic Downtown, and it gave rise to an inspiring addition to Loveland’s restaurant landscape.
De Laneroll prides himself on providing nutritious and delicious options, fast and friendly service, and making sure that everyone in the community gets the most out of their dining dollar at Teak Loveland Sushi & Thai Cuisine. I was thrilled to learn just how little Teak relies on outside sources, besides raw ingredients, for what ends up on your plate or in your cocktail glass.
In my latest Cassie the Food Guru episode, I talk to Chanaka about his extensive menu and his ability to retain staff at Loveland and his two companion restaurants, one in OTR and one in Oakley. During the interview I also asked Chanaka about patrons not familiar with Asian style cuisine and what they might want to sample on their first visit including what level of “spice” first-timers should dare try on their first visit. His answers make giving the Thai cuisine a try, easy.
My favorite part about Teak is that they have both vegetarian and vegan options which is fantastic for those making these healthy dietary choices. Teak is my go-to Loveland restaurant choice because of their attention to this, and their extensive menu options.

Loveland, Ohio – The Ohio Department of Natural Resources and Ohio State Parks just announced that the new Loveland Bike Trail bridge over O’Bannon Creek in Historic Downtown Loveland will have a ribbon cutting ceremony on Wednesday, May 22 at 11:30 AM.
The trail and bridge has been open to the public since May 2.
The public is invited. The bridge is adjacent to Loveland’s Nisbet Park.
Loveland, Ohio – The photo above of the gridlock was taken on Wall Street near Kiwanis Park in the West Loveland Historic District on Friday afternoon. The traffic was equally backed up on West Loveland Avenue on the hill past the Loveland Dairy Whip, as far as the eye could see.
Sidewalk repair on the Col. Thomas Paxton Bridge on West Loveland Avenue continues and is expected to be finished no later than August 30 according to the latest information provided by City Hall.
On Sunday
West Loveland Avenue heading East is reduced to one lane as it approaches Historic Downtown and Karl Brown Way. Two dedicated turn lanes have been eliminated and three lanes East were reduced to one at the intersection.
The traffic flow is further strained by the Loveland Bike Trail crossing where any pedestrian or bicycle can stop the flow of traffic. Add to that, is the traffic stops as vehicles attempt a left turn onto Railroad Avenue.
Loveland, Ohio – The bridge replacement on the Little Miami Scenic Trail in Historic Downtown Loveland is on track to be completed in May. The new, pre-fabricated bridge will arrive in three sections.
To accommodate this, the northern portion of Railroad Avenue from Harrison Avenue will be temporarily closed Monday March 4 through Tuesday March 5. The southern portion of Railroad Avenue will remain open to access area businesses. City Hall is encouraging you to park on the other side of town at the Linda Cox Trailside Parking Lot.
