SCHOOL DISTRICT WANTS OPINION ON LONG RANGE PLAN
LOVELAND, OHIO – The Loveland City School District has identified several priorities for the school year and one was to, “develop a ten-year facilities utilization plan to meet expected growth in enrollment.”
There were two underlying assumptions: “Modest growth in enrollment and construction (if any) without an additional bond levy.”
The District says that, “Based on demographic studies, the Loveland School District’s current number of classrooms will not adequately accommodate future enrollment needs” and in response has engaged the services of Voorhis, Slone, Welsh, and Crossland Architects to assist the District in a planning process. At the May Board of Education meeting, the architect presented several initial options under consideration for meeting the enrollment projections for the next 10 years.
Details on the future facility options and growing enrollment can be found in a PowerPoint (pdf) found at the District web site. You can access a survey at the end to let them know your comments about the options.
